OUR SCENE: An Archive of Bristol’s Queer Nightlife Rebirth

Created by CONQUEER in collaboration with Bristol Pride, this archival book captures the resurgence of Bristol’s Queer nightlife post-lockdown. Featuring over 30 collectives and promoters, OUR SCENE showcases photography, artwork, and stories which document a vibrant, diverse, and subversive era of expression in Bristol between 2010 and 2023.

Rooted in the experimental spirit of CONQUEER, a music and art platform, this publication celebrates the artists, performers, and communities who redefined Queer nightlife in Bristol — from legendary parties like Horseplay and PLU, to emerging forces like Queerky and House of Boussé.

A time capsule of Queer creativity when the lights went down and the venue doors opened.
